Scale Inhibition in the Production of Phosphoric Acid
Mineral scale accumulation in process pipelines, heat exchangers and filtration systems is a perpetual problem in phosphoric acid production. Building on its long history and knowledge of metallurgy and mining, Syensqo has developed PHOSFLOW® scale inhibitor, a highly effective additive, to reduce scale and maximize flow in phosphoric acid plants.
Effective for the full spectrum of phosacid scale species, PHOSFLOW® scale inhibitor substantially reduces the fouling issue in wet-process phosphoric acid production plants. PHOSFLOW® decreases the rate of the fluorosilicate and gypsum scale formation on pipes and heat exchangers allowing for significantly increased cycle times and maximizing steam efficiency and throughput. PHOSFLOW® also alters the morphology of the scale that is formed allowing for faster and safer cleanouts in addition to reducing maintenance costs.

PHOSFLOW® has no negative downstream impact and is compatible with rubber components in the plant. It is easily implemented at existing plants with no requirement for significant capital investment.
In addition to the PHOSFLOW® scale inhibitor, Syensqo offers a complete line of products including collectors, frothers, flocculants, depressants and filtering aids. Your Syensqo Sales Representative is prepared with information and supported by the technical service organization to aid you in applying our products.
